BSA Troop # 132

About Us

Troop 132 is located in East Brunswick, NJ.  Our troop was re-established in 2006.  We started with just 2 scouts and 2 adult leaders and have made our way to over 75 scouts and 25 adult leaders!

Trinity Presbyterian Church in East Brunswick sponsors our Troop. They provide us with materials, a meeting place, and support. We thank them for their assistance.

Troop 132 welcomes all boys of Boy Scout age!  To be a Boy Scout you must be between the ages of 11-18.  We are happy to have you! Please feel free to use our "Contact Us" page to email us. You are welcome to drop by one of the meetings.  The Troop meets every Tuesday from 7-8:30 PM at Central Elementary School (cafetorium) right next to Trinity Presbyterian Church on Cranbury Road in East Brunswick.

Boy Scouts is not only a way to make friends, but also a way to give back to our community!

We have camped in the snow, in the rain, in the heat and in all conditions in-between. From local sites such as Thompson Park, as far south as Virginia, northern trips to Upstate New York and Boston; and of course camping down at the Jersey Shore at both Seaside Heights and Wildwood! We have endured 50-mile hikes, rafted down the Lehigh River, slept on the battleship U.S.S. Massachusetts and was even the first Boy Scout troop to march in the Chinese New Year's parade in Chinatown.

Eight Scouts and two leaders from the troop, traveled to Fort AP Hill, Virginia in 2010 to attend the National Scout Jamboree and ring in Scouting's 100th anniversary along with 45,000 other scouts. Truly a lifetime experience.  Our Troop returned to the National Jamboree in 2013 and 2017 and then represented the United States at the World Scout Jamoree in 2019 in West Virginis.  We are looking forward to 2021!

The scouts chartered by Trinity have also been helping within our community. We have participated in many community clean-ups all around East Brunswick and participate annually in the township's Memorial Day ceremony as well as the 9/11 ceremonies. We deliver a bimonthly newsletter for a senior community, been part of East Brunswick's National Night Out and Community Day at the mall and have flown our country's colors as color guard for Somerset Patriots games.  The Troop services monthly at the local Aldersgate Crisis Center by sorting food, creating food bags, and by simply doing clean up and yard work.  We participate in many annual food drives and are willing to help anyone in need.

Our scouts eagerly participate in FISH, hosted by Trinity. Since its inception, Tuesday evening during FISH has become known as "taco night". We are always happy to serve and lend a hand wherever and whenever it is needed. When you include serving at Elijah's kitchen and cleaning up the church grounds when it's needed, you can always find a scout doing a "good turn" daily.
